An East Baltimore Keno enthusiast “just felt lucky” when she was playing Aug. 6.
A food service cashier from East Baltimore registered a big win playing Keno after work on Aug. 6, hitting for $10,050 on an 8-spot bet.
“I just felt lucky,” said the 70-year-old player, cracking a smile as she and her fiancé collected her prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. Ms. “Just Felt Lucky” found her Lottery payday when she stopped by Niki Food Mart & Lottery in Baltimore for a round of Keno, which she enjoys playing on a regular basis.
Her lucky numbers generally combine family birthdays, ages and other special dates. Her lucky combination came from the numbers 8, 26, 28, 42, 47, 58, 62 and 67.
As for her plans for the unexpected financial infusion, the lucky winner said she planned to pay some bills. Smiling and motioning to her fiancé, she added, “maybe I’ll take him to dinner.”
For selling a winning Keno ticket of $10,000 or more, Niki Food Mart & Lottery also benefits. The Lottery retailer at 6301 Kenwood Avenue earns a bonus equal to 1 percent of the winning amount ($100.50).
