Player won Cold Hard Cash game’s progressive jackpot on Jan. 18
A Carroll County Lottery retailer made an exciting sale on Jan. 18 when a customer took home a $138,442 winning progressive jackpot ticket in the FAST PLAY Cold Hard Cash game. The ticket was sold at Sheetz #132 located at 40 Antrim Boulevard in Taneytown.
This is the second of 40 progressive jackpots in the $10 Cold Hard Cash game, which went on sale Nov. 2. A Baltimore woman won the first progressive jackpot of $114,778 on Nov. 24, 2020 at Mel’s Liquors in Jessup. The game’s progressive jackpots start at $100,000. This game has other prizes, too, ranging from $10 to $50,000.
The Maryland Lottery is looking for our new Cold Hard Cash jackpot winner! Lottery officials recommend the winner sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until claiming the prize. Winners typically get 182 days to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency.
The big winner can claim the prize by mail or in person by appointment at the Lottery headquarters’ Customer Resource Center located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. Winners of smaller prizes can claim them by mail, at Lottery retailers, at casinos or by appointment at Lottery headquarters.
