Takes home $50,000 top prize on Bonus Match 5
A Virginia Veteran, who travels for work, enjoys playing the Lottery in different areas. He found his luck last week with the Bonus Match 5 game while working in Maryland.
On April 26, after a long day, the irrigation specialist stopped by Penn Mar Liquors located at 3022 Donnell Street in Forestville and purchased some Lottery tickets. The next morning, he checked his tickets on the Maryland Lottery app and discovered he won a $50,000 top prize on his Bonus Match 5 ticket.
“I still can’t believe it,” the winner told Lottery officials after claiming his prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. The 80-year-old also shared that he’s won small amounts in the past, but this is his largest win yet. The big winner has no plans on how he’ll spend his fortune but he plans to keep playing whenever he’s in Maryland.
The retailer who sold the winning ticket wins, too. Penn Mar Liquors will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning $50,000 top-prize Bonus Match 5 tickets.
