Jackpot rolls to second highest all time $1.725 billion for Wednesday’s drawing
Powerball is still going strong as no one matched all six numbers for the $1.55 billion jackpot on Monday, but two third-tier $50,000 winning tickets were sold in Berlin and College Park.
The winning Berlin ticket was sold at Your Store at 10137 Old Ocean City Boulevard in Worchester County. The College Park ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven #11667 at 8900 Edmonston Road in Prince George’s County.
The winning numbers to match in the Oct. 9 Powerball drawing are 16, 34, 46, 55 and 67; the Powerball was 14.
The Powerball drawing on Monday produced more than 3.7 million winning tickets nationwide, and more than 73,000 in Maryland.
The Wednesday, Oct. 11 Powerball drawing has an estimated annuity of $1.725 billion and an estimated cash value of $756.6 million. This is the second largest jackpot in Powerball history and the second largest jackpot in U.S. history.
Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore.
