Takes home $30,000 top prize on Bonus Crossword scratch-off
Winning the Lottery is a very exciting experience, no matter the amount of the prize. Recently, a 53-year-old nursing assistant experienced the excitement for herself, as she won a $30,000 top prize on her favorite scratch off game, Bonus Crossword.
On her way home after a long shift, the Annapolis resident stopped by Chesapeake Market Citgo to buy some scratch offs and other items. She purchased a Bingo scratch-off, and two Bonus Crossword tickets. The first two tickets she scratched weren’t winners, but the third one put her in a really good mood.
“I swear my heart stopped for a moment,” the winner, who is still in disbelief, told Lottery officials.
With her win, she plans to save money so she can one day relocate to Alabama to live closer to her family. She also plans to pay some bills.
The Chesapeake Market Citgo that sold the winning ticket is located at 502 South Cherry Grove in Annapolis. For its role in selling a $30,000 top-prize scratch-off, the Anne Arundel County retailer will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery. The Bonus Crossword 5th Edition game went on sale in February 20, 2023 and has four top-prizes remaining unclaimed.
