Sept. 14 Drawings Create New Millionaire, two $50,000 Winners

Players bought lucky Powerball, Bonus Match 5 tickets

What a winner of a week for Maryland Lottery Powerball and Bonus Match 5 players! The Wednesday, Sept. 14 drawings created a new Powerball millionaire, a $50,000 Powerball winner and the third $50,000 top-prize Bonus Match 5 winner this week.

The $1 million second-tier winning Powerball ticket was sold by Downtown Amoco at 1100 South Hanover Street in Baltimore, while Tantallon Exxon, located at 10815 Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington, sold the $50,000 third-tier winning ticket. The winning numbers were 9, 10, 20, 22 and 52; the Power Ball was 25. The ticket from Downtown Amoco was the fifth second-tier winning Powerball ticket sold in Maryland during 2022.

Our lucky Bonus Match 5 winning ticket hails from Dash In #11342, which is located at 1378 Mount Zion Marlboro Road in Lothian. Sept. 14 marked the third consecutive night that the Bonus Match 5 drawing produced a $50,000 top-prize winning ticket, and it was the 34th in 2022. The five winning numbers in the Sept. 14 drawing were 3, 15, 24, 27 and 38; the Bonus Ball was 17. Top-prize winning tickets in Bonus Match 5 were also sold at College Park Auto Service in College Park for the Sept. 12 drawing and at Columbia Auto Care & Car Wash in Columbia for the Sept. 13 drawing.

The Lottery will pay bonuses of $2,500 to Downtown Amoco for selling the $1 million Powerball ticket and $500 to Dash In #11342 for selling the top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket.

Lottery officials urge the winners to sign the backs of their tickets and put them in a safe place. Players have 182 days to claim the prizes.
