$50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Severna Park

Mega Millions is back tonight with record drawing of $1.55 billion

Check your Powerball tickets from Monday’s drawing, Maryland! Even though no one hit the estimated $145 million jackpot, there was one $50,000-winning ticket sold in our state.

The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky player who bought the third-tier winning ticket at Giant #0358 located at 573 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. The winning numbers in the Aug. 7 drawing were 6, 13, 20, 35 and 54; the Powerball was 22 and the Power Play multiplier was X2. In addition to the third-tier winner, Marylanders won 13,401 prizes ranging from $4 to $200.

Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. Meanwhile, Mega Millions is back in the spotlight tonight with the largest jackpot in the game’s history and the third largest in U.S. lottery history. The jackpot has rolled to an estimated annuity of $1.55 billion with an estimated cash option of $757.2 million.
