Player Reveals First $100,000 Top Prize on Snow Globe 7s Scratch-off

Frederick woman scratches her way to holiday delight

Congratulations to a lucky Frederick County player who claimed the first of nine $100,000 top prizes on the Lottery’s new Snow Globe 7s holiday scratch-off.

The player visited Lottery headquarters in Baltimore this week to turn in her instant ticket, which revealed a “7” symbol with the $100,000 prize in the first row of the play area. The 46-year-old Frederick resident bought the $10 scratch-off at Waverley Beer & Wine located at 45 Waverley Drive in Frederick. For its role in selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the retailer earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.

The Snow Globe 7s game is among six holiday scratch-offs now on sale. Players can also try their luck with the $1 OH, SNAP gingerbread-scented game, $2 Unwrap the Cash instant ticket, a $3 Peppermint Payout Multiplier scented scratch-off, a $5 Holiday Cash game and $20 Win, $100, $200 or $500 scratch-off. Three holiday FAST PLAY games go on sale Nov. 6: $1 Candy Cane Cash, $5 Snowflake Ca$h and $10 Holiday Money Match.

Last week, the Lottery kicked off the Holiday Cash Second-Chance promotion with the first of 12 drawings. Five players each won a $5,000 prize. Players can enter non-winning holiday scratch-offs and winning or non-winning FAST PLAY holiday tickets for their chance to win. The drawings take place weekly now through Jan. 16, when the promotion concludes after awarding a total of $500,000 to 62 players.
