The winner, describing herself as “very faithful,” added, “I’ve been praying for a breakthrough.” She favors the Gold X20 game, because she won $500 on it several times.
“This is the biggest prize I have ever won,” the happy woman said, sitting in the Lottery Winner’s Circle with her brother by her side. “I’m very excited!”
On the day Lottery luck came to call, the 34-year-old visited Wawa #555 in Salisbury while her mom was at a medical appointment. Sometimes she will scratch off a game in stores and sometimes she takes games to her vehicle. The Wicomico County resident scratched off the entire Gold X20 game and phoned her mom as soon as she saw she won the game’s top prize. “I sat there for a little bit,” she said, “and then I had to get my mom from her doctor appointment.”
Her happy mother had already shared the news with the medical professionals, so the winner was greeted with well wishes. However, she’s keeping her news a secret from everyone else.
